Seeing Offensive Forum Ads? We need your help! 6/12/08

We are SO sorry some of you have seen offensive ads on the forums! Embarassed

TwilightMOMS has no control over the content of the ads on the forums. Our forum host, Freeforums, controls the ads and they receive the benefits from them to provide free forum hosting services. TwilightMOMS does not receive any other benefits from them. Hosting a forum of this size costs a lot of money! If we didn't use the FreeForums, we couldn't afford to provide all the features- like avatars and signature and posting pictures and not crashing a server when big news is posted and everyone hits the site at once.

Freeforums does NOT want any offensive ads on their forums. Here is what they told us and asked us to do to help them fix the problem.

Here's what Freeforums needs you to do to help them get them off the filters and report them to their ad service:

Of course, you can PM or email any of the admins and let us know, but we can't do anything about it directly unless you send us that information. Instructions to capture a screenshot:

PC: Click "Control" and "Print Screen" at the same time. It copies the image to your clip board. Then you have to open a program like Paint and paste the image, then save it. There are better ways, but I don't know how!

Mac: There's a little button I click and it takes a shot and saves it all at once.

I'll leave this forum unlocked so you all can share information about screen shots and let us know what kind of problems you are seeing.

If you have adobe professional then at the top of the web page there is a link to capture the screen as a PDF file. It's a one click deal. Really simple Smile

We have a VERY annoying ad that keeps popping up this morning. When you try to enter any threads that contain the word MOM in them (at least it seems like that's the common link) you get completely redirected to this ad...it won't let you enter the thread you've selected to enter!! Evil or Very Mad

It's not offensive but it is entirely too annoying!! Mad
